Oxygen OS 2.1.2 hitting the OnePlus 2, OnePlus X via OTA update


OnePlus has launched 2 devices this year: OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X. Just came to hear that both of the versions i.e.; OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X going to get new Oxygen OS update (2.1.1) being released OTA. Some of the new featured are as below:

The OnePlus 2’s update will include the following:
  • Enhanced UX for preview in Camera
  • Improved performance and efficiency on app install and launch
  • Customization support for individual icon
  • Fixes for RAW format on 3rd party camera apps
  • Supporting 2 languages: Russian & Turkish
  • Lockscreen wallpaper support
  • More security patches
  • Bug fixes to System Update to improve OTA stability
  • General bug fixes and performance improvements


The OnePlus X’s update will include the following:
  • UX bug fixes in the Camera app
  • Improvement to color offset in HDR mode
  • Bug fixes to System Update to improve OTA stability
  • System optimizations in low battery state
  • General bug fixes and performance improvements


OnePlus reminds clients that, "these are incremental rollouts, so a few days may pass by before you see the warning pop up on your gadget." For those that need to attempt and speed things up, it's best to physically check for overhauls however once in a while time is the main cure to the OTA soul.
